From the age of six weeks onwards calves will benefit from feed of starter ration, both in terms of energy and nutrition. It's recommended that once you see them eating 700 grams or more of starter ration, you can then begin reducing milk feeds.
The Milk Bar meal feeder with bird proof flaps was the first of its kind when it was introduced almost 30 years ago and it's still going strong to this day. With a few improvements made to it over the years it has remained a firm favourite with farmers for feeding meal to calves.
